How much love this boy had left to give for this cat

A family from Utah originally went to Best Friends Animal Society to look for a young kitten, but had their hearts stolen by a charming senior kitty.
Dexter was 20 years old already, and they knew he didn’t have much time left. They took a chance on the sweet old toothless cat and gave him a home to live out his retirement.

On the day Dexter moved into his new home, he cuddled up to his human, JJ, and the two bonded instantly. JJ insisted on feeding him and caring for his new best bud. (Cat dad in training!)

Every day Dexter reminded his family just how grateful he was to have a home and showered them with cuddles and purrs.

He would burrow into the crooks of their arms and rub his head against them for hours while purring up a storm.

Not only did he get along with his human family, he was also the leader of the wolf pack.

His canine buddies admired him and were exceptionally defensive of him.

Dexter showered everybody in his way with unrestricted love.

He wanted to talk and requested sustenance at 4:30AM each morning. His yowl was exceptionally cantankerous sounding, and he wouldn't allow you to sit unbothered til he got what he needed.

In normal feline form, he was obviously the leader of the house.
